L-3 Communications

The co-operation between Saab Grintek and L-3 Communications was established in the early 1990’s. Headquartered in New York City, L-3 Communications is a leading provider of Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems and products, secure communications systems, aircraft modernization, training and government services, and is a merchant supplier of a broad array of high technology products. The core business between L-3 and Saab Grintek is related to the supply and installation of their ground based radomes, which protect radar antenna sub-systems from the environment. Saab Grintek and L-3 have supplied the majority of these radomes in use in the ATC market, to both commercial and military customers in South Africa.
