TR2800 SYSTEM

The TR2800 is a new generation DSP HF Transceiver that has been specifically developed to meet the stringent requirements for military transport and rotary winged aircraft. The 100W ECCM transceiver is supported by a frequency agile loop ATU/Antenna combination (AT2820) for helicopter applications and a 100W fast switching wire antenna ATU (AT2821) for fixed wing aircraft. A 400W PA

(PA2810) and a fast switching 400W ATU (AT2822) are available for long range applications. The system can be controlled either from a communication controller via a serial bus or via a dedicated controller.

 

SPEECH ENHANCEMENT TECHNIQUES

The TR2800 transceiver features state of the art electronic techniques to minimize HF noise and interference. Using a digital voice enhancement technique in accordance with CCIR445-1, and reliable DSP squelch, the quality of communications is greatly improved, thus broadening the application of HF radios for both short and long range communication. These enhancements, ALE and the NVIS capability of the aircraft loop antenna (AT2820) provide an efficient, easy to use HF communication system for all distances and time of day requirements.
